The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) appoints Bill Michels to head up US operations

CIPS has appointed procurement expert Bill Michels to be Vice President of Operations, Americas with immediate effect.

Bill has worked in procurement consulting across a wide spectrum of industries and countries transforming Procurement and the Supply Chain.  Until recently Bill was the CEO of Aripart Consulting (which he founded) after more than 23 years at ADR North America. Under his leadership, ADR North America became a leading niche specialty consulting firm and has won several recognitions and awards.

Duncan Brock, CIPS Director said: “This is a really exciting development for CIPS and recognises the growing demand we are seeing from both our existing client base and new organisations looking to develop their procurement standards and capabilities across the US.  Bill is an excellent addition to our global CIPS team and we look forward to expanding our existing US network.”

Bill is a sought-after speaker and writer with many publications, including co-authorship of the book "Transform Your Supply Chain" and numerous published articles. Bill has a B.S. in Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MBA with honors from Baldwin Wallace University. He has CPSM, C.P.M. and FCIPS certifications. He is on the Board of Directors of the Joe Niekro Foundation, Editorial Board of Advisors for Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine and Advisory Board of Palambridge.
