IOD Event - Lord Mayor's City Giving Day Celebration 2017 (The Sky Bar)

Overview

IOD Event - Lord Mayor's City Giving Day Celebration 2017 (The Sky Bar)

The Institute of Directors (IoD) is a signed up supporter of the 2017 Lord Mayor’s City Giving Day. This event will take place within the Sky Bar, which has an outside terrace with views across the City.

This important initiative started by Alderman Dame Fiona Woolf CBE DL when she was Lord Mayor 2013-2014, is a fixture in the annual IoD City of London Branch Calendar. It is a great way for City businesses and their staff to show support for charities and worthwhile causes. The initiative also highlights the best of volunteering, community involvement and philanthropy in the City of London.

The evening will commence at 6.30pm; should you arrive earlier the hotel has several bars and lounges.

As well as wine & soft drinks there will be a selection of canapés and there will be the popular members’ business card draw for a bottle of Champagne.

There will be a raffle prize draw with proceeds going to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal. This is supporting the LSO Discovery Programme, St Paul’s Cathedral School Music Outreach and Music in Hospitals. They all connect with the Lord Mayor, Alderman Andrew Parmley’s theme for his year of “Educate Support Inspire”.

Exhibitors at the event include law firm, Francis Wilks & Jones, Landmass Design Customization LLP, Pauline Wong, Jewellery Designer of Lifestylewithfriends.com and Stephanie Cheong of StudeoM who is offering to take portrait photos of those who wish to update their LinkedIn Photos to help with the fundraising.

The venue can take up to 180 people so please bring along others to support this special event in aid of some very worthy causes.

Dress code: business attire.
