CPD 2As we move to a conclusion of Brexit negotiations it is becoming increasingly important to look at alternative supply chain solutions. One strategy is to make your organisation more open and inclusive to a supply chain of all shapes and sizes to mitigate any risks in supply. The presentation will look at how to be inclusive in your procurement decision making and applying a balanced scorecard approach to appointment. It will give real-life examples of inclusive procurement in action.

When Inclusive Procurement is seen in practice, it encourages a diverse range of supply chain to help remain agile and flexible to meet industry demands. To create this environment, you must have a commitment from senior leadership and embed open assessments at each stage of the procurement process. To remain a sustainable business, you must also help to train, upskill and collaborate with competing supply chains, working together for a common goal.

The presentation will have three main areas:

  • Why an inclusive approach?
  • How we do it?
  • What is the impact?

CPD 2For our June event, we are pleased to return to the renowned Cranfield University School of Management to discuss leadership and performance behaviours in next generation supply chains.

supply chain leadership is receiving greater emphasis in the boardroom as a means of increasing competitive advantage. An extensive survey of senior supply chain executives has led to the creation of a supply chain ‘next generation leadership and behaviour framework’. The framework identifies the behaviours and values critical to successful implementation of supply chain strategy and identify key barriers to success.

Professor Richard Wilding will provide an update to ground breaking research of 2009/2012 to explain the key ‘get rights’ that drive successful change leading to competitive advantage and successful leverage of supply chain strategy.
